Who Am I?

Years of Experience with Children has turned into a Passion for their Education and Developement

A mother of two, A wife, A daughter, a Friend.
I wont bore by writing 5 pages about my childhood, coming-of-age, teenage angst, how i ended up meeting my husband, etc. though there IS a touch of that ;) The fact of the matter is that i have always had a place in my heart for the young ones. I'm talking about caring and guiding my younger peers even as a teenager. I volunteered to be a camp cabin leader in high school, teaching and sharing in that natural environment came so easy and was so pleasant that i knew i wanted to incorporate this into my life. Being a solid role model for children and helping them grow and succeed. Much later, after growing and learning, baby-sitting, and being apart of numerous youth organizations, i became a mama. Life would never be the same (As you all know!) This wasn't just something i was good at, it was my life now and what a welcome it was! So when the decision came to stay home with my kids and teach them pre-school, the option to start a daycare was the most ideal. I worked side jobs for a little while as i educated myself in childhood education, taking classes and earning certificates. I got my license and started to network! I love the work so far and really enjoy seeing these kids grow!

As an in home daycare, I believe in the importance of child education through active play!
I practice a roughly based pre-school curriculum, meaning i teach my kids the Alphabet, numbers up to 20, colors, shapes, and other brain building concepts daily. Along with weekly projects that focus on any one of the mentioned subjects, holidays, weather/nature, music, or any other topic. And often coinciding with one another. I welcome clients and family members into my home and have an open door policy. Which means parents/grandparents are welcome to swing by during business hours to check on your children and tour the facility.
My current Hours of Operation are
7:30am to 5:30pm Monday through Friday
under 3 years old = $33/day
3-5 years = $30/day
after-school kids (3:30-5:30) = $10 each
or full time/all day school aged = child is $30/day
Parent/Provider meet-up is important to go over the Honeybees Handbook, enrollment forms, and Honeybees Contract BEFORE the first day of care for any child. This is beneficial for parents, children, and provider.
daily activities include a variety of indoor and outdoor play, arts and crafts, music/singing time, story time, concepts and themes!
